Hope and Play is a UK charity that operates in the Palestinian refugee camps and communities of the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and Lebanon. Our management and administrative team is fully volunteer staffed with team members who are based in the UK and around Europe, and all administrative costs are covered by our trustees. This means that every penny of every donation goes to our projects and activities delivered by a simply incredible team in Gaza.
Our trusted, vetted partners in Gaza

We have partnered with the Canaan Institute of New Pedagogy for more than 15 years. It is a lynchpin in Gaza’s civil society network. In the face of bombing, death and destruction, its director Issa Saaba has re-established community networks to deliver a vital lifeline of support to desperate children and families.

In early 2024, we partnered with a collective of superstar artists from the Shababeek Centre for Contemporary Art to deliver some of our art workshops for displaced children. Co-founded by the acclaimed artists Basel El Maqosui, Shareef Sarhan and Majed Shala, the Centre has been at the heart of Palestinian cultural life since 2003.
We are creating life.
