On the occasion of Eid el-Fitr, the Canaan Institute organised a distribution of traditional Eid food. This was made and distributed to 170 families sheltering in tented camps in Shujaeia.

This is not only a source of absolutely essential nutrition amid the extreme shortages of basic foodstuffs in Gaza. It is also a really important and symbolic show of resilience and solidarity for families who have been displaced multiple times and who have lost family, friends, homes and belongings.
