We were lucky enough to be shortlisted by The Funding Network (TFN), billed as the ‘Dragons’ Den’ for charities, for one of their fundraising events. We walked away that evening with an additional £6,200 – all of which went to our programme of psychosocial support for traumatised children in Gaza.

As a result of the generosity of TFN donors, we will be able to provide around 200 children with much-needed therapeutic activities, and help getting their academic performance back on track. We are now fundraising to assist another 500 children, at a cost of just £34 per child.  This is really a drop in the ocean – according to a recent report, a staggering 92% of 13-18 year olds in Gaza show symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder, according to a recent study.

We were unfortunately delayed from deploying the funds as the Israeli invasion of Gaza meant we had to divert our attention to more immediate needs, and engaged in the emergency relocation of 1,500 children out of the military’s way. However, we are now back on track and aim to deploy these funds alongside a database we are developing for longer term impact and longitudinal analysis.

So thank you The Funding Network for your generous support!

Please get in touch with us if you feel you could donate!
